Quilting in Beijing

What a week we had together.
Five friends from Copenhagen - reunited in Beijing.
By day we saw the sights
and
by night we sewed.
We each finished our quilt tops.
Chinese coins was the design we all worked on.
Each of our quilts uses a little fabric from the other four.
The white Buddha in my garden
served as a beautiful model for the quilts.
Hope they bring some colour to your day.

  1. What a great collection of quilts...so cheerful and displayed in such fun ways. A real feast for the eyes. And a wonderful way to remember your week together.

  2. I just wanted to say hi, as I like to leave comments when I find a blog I enjoy reading. I came here via a link on your daughter's blog "Red Red Completely Red" which I found through the Unravelling course. I live in China, too, in a little city in Shandong Province, but I will be moving soon to one of the big cities (hopefully Shanghai.) Your posts on your quilting/fabric art are so inspirational. I am hoping to get back into sewing/fabric art once I have access to a sewing machine and fabric markets. I absolutely love these photos & quilts! Hope you have a happy birthday!
